Matoska Mariners 4-H Club Monthly Report (Oct. 14, 2019)

The Matoska Mariners 4-H club meet on Monday October 14 at the White Bear Lake City Hall for this months meeting. Here we started our meeting with a game to get everyone's wiggles out. We played a game called Night at the Museum. There is one person that is there person that is "it". This person left the room while everyone got into a pose like a statue while the person was out of the room. When the person that is it returns, everyone is frozen. They are able to move as long as they don't get caught moving. If you get caught then you are out. The game goes until all people are out.
Following the game we took role call and went over new and old business. Once we were finished we started our activity for the meeting. This month we did woodworking by staining a picture on it. Everyone had to start by putting the stain on the wood. We had to be careful to not get it on the floor, our clothes, or anything else. After we stained the wood we got to choose between a bear stencil or a clover stencil. This was put on top the stain. When we were finished we needed to clean up any messes that we made so the room looked like it was before we started. Then we ended our meeting.
It was a fun activity, I think everyone had fun and liked doing it.
